Cursive by Phoebe Lane is a debut novel that will knock your socks off.It's refreshing and funny and the characters are incredibly three-dimensional. Sometimes I felt like Aislynn and her bestie, Ellie, were right there with me in the room with their witty banter and sarcasm.I don't normally go for contemporary novels...NA and hisoricals are my fave, but I'm so happy I picked this up as my beach read this year.The hero Jace is as emotionally distant as Aislynn, causing them both to muddle through their feelings and emotions. Because they both push the other way, the sexual tension is amped up. And finally when they do DO the deed...and again...and again...I gained a whole new perspective on balcony and kitchen sex. Bring it, Phoebe. It's not erotica, but baby, it sizzles.Overall, the book will rip your heart out when you get to the twist...making you go back through events that happened previously and try and piece it all together. Just amazing. I can't wait to read her next romance. ♥ I purchased this book on Amazon. What s fabulous story of love lost and love gained. Phoebe Lane had me in tears reading this. Aislynn is a woman who has been through the ringer the past year of her life. She left her home town to try to find herself and she eventually settles in San Diego. She meets Jace and slowly but surely they start to fall in love.They both must deal with secrets from their pasts before either one can commit fully.This book was recommended to me by a friend, and I am so happy for that. Aislynn and Jace were both relatable characters dealing with issues that anyone could come across. I absolutely loved it!
