I just wasn't sold on this story. Just as Micah's mind wanders, mine did too, well trying to read this. It didn't matter what was going on, I'd find myself wandering away, the further I read. I really wanted to like this book. I have came across it(and other from this series) more than once thinking, I'll read it later.This is the premise of the book. Micah, a sub, has his eyes on the Dom of his dreams, Tackett. He tends to loose himself in his mind in more ways than one. He calls it 'scatterbrain'. He looses focus. He processes a lot of things at once that will lead to him a certain thing. Also, he beats himself up mentally for not being able to focus all the time. He hopes Tackett will the right person who will help him keep his train of thoughts more balanced.I personally felt the author was trying to highlight Micah's 'scatterbrain' wrong. That being scatterbrained was a horrible bad thing. It got on my nerves. I felt like if it wasn't corrected, the Micah couldn't be 'normal'. So, he wanted some help to keep him focused. Instead of going to speak to a therapist about it, he decided to find a Dom to instead. Okay. Fine. Just really wasn't feeling how it was being portrayed. Then we have Tackett. He has always been the lone wolf, never knowing what love was. Didn't think he needed it, until now. His friends are all being paired off and he is starting to rethink how is life is going. He is a bit depressed about it all. Finally, Micah is able to push down his walls and make him take a chance with him. Tackett... I simply didn't like him much. Neither of them were perfect, which was nice. I felt that Tackett needed someone to focus on his flaws too though. I guess at the end Micah kind of put him in his place. But I didn't feel any chemistry flowing between these two characters, thus I did not care if they got a happy ending or not. I found a few grammar errors, but overall the story flowed okay. It did not come across choppy. The plot was okay. Nothing special.I am unsure if I will continue this series or not. Two things:1. I surprised myself that I enjoyed reading this as much as I did.2. The characters are very well-written, specifically Micah. He was completely unique to me, and I fell in love with him.Another two things:1. I learned more about BDSM in this short novel than all of the erotic romances (containing many BDSM stories)that I've read in the last three years. 2. I also had to Google one thing for a visual, and, I tell you what, my laptop will never be the same. And a final two things: 1. This book is so good that all my previously-held notions that I would never enjoy another BDSM love story again had to be thrown away into my useless thoughts bin. 2. I wouldn't recommend this to everyone, but, if you like m/m and are open to a well-told, moving erotic love story, try it. It's never boring.
