About book Crazy Girls (2000)

I expected this to basically be a rant of the author's sexual escapades akin to "My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands" by Chelsea Handler, but I was pleasantly surprised. This novella follows several stories of Lance's dating mishaps with women in the city, only one or two actually concerning their sex lives together. This novella had be rolling in laughter at times, and at others extremely concerned for the well-beings of these true people. I felt like a lot of development was put into the characters in play, although the only constant one was Max Lance himself. I feel that even if these stories were embellished upon to be more interesting, at least he kept the realism to their personalities that made them interesting and real.I would recommend this to anyone who has some free time on their hands and wants to have a good laugh to themselves. It's quick and easy to read, and each chapter is about a different encounter so as a reader you don't feel like you have to read through big chunks at a time so that you don't lose your place when you next put it down. It was ok. This book is what it is, a Kindle Single. It's short and too the point. As this is a comedy writer who is writing about his Crazy dates/ex-girlfriends I think maybe I wasn't the right demographic for this short memoir. One thing I do have to say is that you can tell he is funny, there were comments, as well as the way he writes, that makes me feel like I could enjoy his stand up comedy. While the Kindle Single was enjoyable it just wasn't necessarily for me. Although it was nice to see that compared to some girls I am completely normal.
