About book Cowboy Boots For Christmas: (Cowboy Not Included) (2014)
'I received a copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review'Callie needs help. Her nephew martin witnessed a crime and they need to go into hiding. She couldn't think of anyone better then her old service buddy Finn.He was a sniper and she was his partner. Callie has always had a crush on Finn butthey were a team and there were rules, then he had found someone. There was nevera chance for them back then. Now that they have found each other those feelings aregoing to be hard to fight. But Callie really doesn't want to fight them. Plus she has to protect him from all the women in the two family fued in Burnt Boot!Finn always had a thing for his partner Callie until he met lala. When he found out shehad betrayed him he was devastated. He ended up buying the ranch in Burnt Boot to be by himself. He had no idea he would be drug in the middle of a fued. When Callie showsup asking for help there was no way he would turn her down. All those feelings came rushingback. Now he has to just convince her to stay and not to leave when it's time to go. My Opinion:I absolutely loved this book. There were many times I burst out laughing especially at some of thethings that Joe the Parrot would say. I think some of the best books are those that can make you laugh out loud or cry while reading. This book definitely makes you laugh. The way they all are with animals remind me so much of my family that it helped me connect with the characters which is alwaysa bonus. I will definitely be reading more books from this author and I can't wait to read Sawyer's book!I definitely recommend reading!'Read and Reviewed by LSK Sweetheart Reviews' I waited for another story about an O'Donnell cowboy and here HE is. Retired army sniper Finn O'Donnell buys himself a ranch in Burnt Boot, Texas (I love the name of this town) and thinks he going to have a QUIET holiday.Callie Brewster knows only one person she can turn to and trust to help protect her nephew Martin, ex army friend Finn. Carolyn's heroine still has her signature sass and strong will but Callie was Finn's spotter in the army, she is full confidence and is quite competitive. I found this book to be a bit different than Carolyn's other cowboy tales. The tenderness Finn shows Callie and Martin is most heartwarming, but he also loves to help stray animals. That's my kind of cowboy! Finn and Callie in true Christmas form demonstrate to Martin and three homeless children how to love, trust and help each other. Seems they all have a knack for ranchin and want-need cowboy boots. Through the weeks they collect a menagerie of pets- you'll get a kick out of the talking bird!Carolyn's heroine has her signature sass but in this book her hero Finn is patient, speaks and acts with tenderness. This holiday Home is where your boots are!
