This was an incredibly written novella! The shorter stories are usually not my favorite as they tend to be less developed and leave you wanting for more explanation. If only they could all be written like this one! The book's description and premise alone sucked me in immediately and made my heart hiccup (always an instabuy indication!). The author has given this story a wonderful and well-thought out pacing, fully developed characters, and swept me up in the story emotionally. I wasn't planning on reading the second book - from Xavier's point of view and much more D/s than this one - but once I learned there is a third book coming out 6/30/2014 I'm definitely going to read it. I thought this was a good, quick story about our intrepid heroine Ms. Darcy and her no-nonsense boss Mr. Pettifor. They're a couple in every sense of the word, although communication doesn't seem to be a strong suit of either one of them. Seems that Mr. Pettifor is knocked off-kilter when Ms. Darcy quits after the incident with the LB, but his explanation doesn't sound quite right (how does one make you sit and watch them enjoy themselves in a solo effort? Seems like he could have thrown the LB out). But alas, it all works out in the end. Ta-da!

I give a high 2.5 stars...I liked it but was very short. Wished both POV's would have been in this.
