About book Consorting With Dragons (2014)

Loved it. I wish it was longer but on the other hand it is perfect just as is and making it longer would only have unnecessarily stretched it out because the way things developed and ended was just right. That makes no sense *haha* I just loved it so much that I could've read on and on.I loved that there was some drama but that it wasn't over the top, which it easily could've been. Even though it was a short story, the relationship that developed between the two MCs was so lovely and made me all warm and fuzzy inside and the inner turmoil Jasen was struggeling with really made my heart ache for him. The ending was so nice and made me happy and I felt really relieved that all was good.Oh, I almost forgot. The secondary characters were also really well done, in my opinion. The beginning was rich and promising, deftly setting up side characters to enhance the storyline. Then came the introduction of the competition - I LOVE these types of stories. But somewhere around the middle, I felt like the author began skimping on same details and explanations. It also had one of my pet peeves: MC arrives in a totally new environment and then is immediately befriended by their new BFF, and shares way more personal details than would be advisable. After that, there was no coming back as my interest began to dwindle, especially when the conflict didn't feel exactly real.
