Really really liked this one. It was nice to have two main characters that were whole solid people. Sure there were problems each MC was but they dealt with the problems of deployment, missing family, etc. No one is 'broken' as is the case in many stories. The angst of this story comes from the situation of officer and enlisted fraternization. The banter and fun of Eric and Shane was great, and when Eric's daughter joined for a holiday it was great fun to see them together as well. The chemistry was hot and the development of Eric and Shane's relationship was was of course based on the chemistry but also the friendship and common ground of the characters. I don’t usually like military stories but I enjoyed this one. There was no combat, just two guys secretly loving on each other all over Okinawa. Both MC’s were really likable and there was not much angst at all. I liked the beautiful descriptions of Okinawa’s castles, islands, beaches and culture but sometimes it was too much. Every snorkeling trip was described in full detail for instance. The chemistry between the Eric and Shane was very hot though and even Eric’s daughter was fun part of the story.
Do You like book Conduct Unbecoming (2012)?
The changing POV's confused me at times....but I did like the characters and the story itself.
