About book Cometas En El Cielo (Novela Gráfica) (2011)
Though not as emotional as the actual novel, this version stays true to the main plot and is told through beautiful illustrations. Man, that ending gets me every time. A great read for anyone who has wanted to read the book but doesn't have time to commit to the whole novel. Greatest takeaway: "When you kill a man, you steal a life. You steal a wife's right to a husband, rob his children of a father. When you tell a lie, you steal someone's right to the truth. When you cheat, you steal the right to fairness. There is no act more wretched than stealing." Just a Note to say that I have not read the Kite Runner Book yet but I think after reading the graphic novel i will deffiantly be picking up the book in the near future. this was my first Graphic novel of 2014 and I was not dissapointed I loved the drawings and the art work the pictures for me brought the story which is a very powerful one to life. The Kite Runner Story is a story that is powerful and shocking i did have a good old cry at parts and was left shocked and emotional at other parts. The story is a beautiful story of friendship and it deals with that in such a lovely way as well as dealing with how race and religion can affect people and that by the end of the graphic novel the ending is such a satisfying ending and one that gave me a little flutter of joy in my heart. After reading the Kite Runner it does make you think of current issues that is still going on and thats what I like about books like this it does shock and it does make you think about society today and how it affects all of us. For the Kite runner gets 5/5 stars for the story and the plot and also for the stunning art work that has brought it to life. I look forward to reading the book in the future.
