The mystery surrounding Dylan’s past was revealed in the concluding book of the series. We understood why he became what he was and his avoidance of relationship and anything that signified permanence. In this book, Myra displayed strength and patience especially in dealing with Dylan’s infuriating behavior. Dylan was short-tempered and had no patience in dealing with nonsense but with Myra, he was different. I enjoyed reading his protective and caveman behavior with her. Also her gentleness and love was something he craved. The surrounding cast of characters, with their quirkiness, provided comic relief. This book stretched out a bit and the author seemed much attached to the characters and did not want their story to end. My complaint is that it dragged out a bit especially the very long epilogue. Loved it. Aww poor Dylan :'( BUT I'm glad everything worked out and I still loved Susie but wow, Chad was just too funny LOL. Seeing Dylan break down after hearing the baby news was hard because I felt like ppl weren't giving him enough slack. I actually felt bad for Sabrina in this book because first, she loses a kid and goes through some shit with drugs and stuff, just to recover and find out her ex husband who promised to wait for her is in love with someone else, THEN she gets shot and is barely tended too since Dylan is too worried about Myra lol. I mean I love Dylan and Myra together but Sabrina got the short end of the stick for sure. I LOVED both epilogues, I am completely satisfied with the conclusion. Jackie and Nick's relationship felt unnecessary to the storyline but whatever. I'm not into paranormal shit so all that stuff about Grampie didn't sit well with me but I'm still giving this book 5 stars lol. Overall, I really like this authors writing style and can't wait to read more things from her.
