About book College Boys (2012)

I really enjoyed this book, although I've been reading more m/m, NA is still something that I'm not entirely familiar with. I wasn't sure what to expect from the title alone but this book centered on two college boys dealing with life and finding themselves. Chris' recent loss of his mother to cancer, results in a change to his living situation. Needing alone time to think he distances himself from his soccer team and moves into a hall where he has his own room. Well the catch is the walls are thin and the gay guy next door quickly becomes a friend and confidant. When things start becoming more than friendly Chris has to decide whether their flirting is something that could turn into more or should just be written off as a college experience.Peter is very accepting of Chris and although he finds him extremely attractive he doesn't act on his feelings. After an awkward encounter Peter wonders if something more than just a friendship could be a possibility. The bigger question is whether or not Chris is willing to take that chance. This had a fun group of characters, a little sex, and some romance. The characters were believable and likeable, witty and definitely a little sarcastic. I enjoyed this book and will be looking forward to the next in the series. I received a copy of this book from Netgallery in exchange for an honest review.I will be the first to admit that M/M romance is not a genre that I read on a regular basis. After several recommendations from fellow book lovers I figured why not. I was not disappointed with this one. Daisy Harris did a wonderful job conveying the difficulties of finding yourself. On the problems that arise when your sexual orientation might not be what you assumed it was and how it affects other relationships in your life.Chris Fischer is trying to get his life together. After losing his mother to cancer he is confused about her loss and just wants to be alone so he can stop pretending to all his friends that everything is fine. He decides the best way to do this is to move into a single room where he can just be himself. He moves into the room next to Peter Cohen, an openly gay guy who he had met several months before during a camping trip.Peter still remembers his meeting with Chris. Knowing that he is straight doesn't stop him from imagining what he wants to do with and to him. He realizes that it is only a one-sided attration and he's ok with that. Until suddenly it seems like maybe its not one sided at all.The mixed signals they sent each other were entertaining and sweet at that same time. There were some points where I laughed aloud at things that Chris and Peter did or said. I really enjoyed the interaction between the two of them. I really liked that even though there was an attraction (even unknowingly) between the two of them from the beginning that the author took her time to develop it throughout the story line vs an instant wham bam thank you mam.I am looking forward to reading more books by Daisy Harris and seeing where this series goes.
