In "cobain unseen" by Charles r cross, the author explains kurt cobain as a heroin addicted suicidal maniac. One part of the book that supports his explanation is at the end of the book when cobain takes heroin and shoots himself in the head with a shotgun. This supports the assertion because it is exactly right, spot on. He wanted to kill himself and had traces in his blood of heroin from years back. The importance of this book was to show cobains fans that he indeed had demons and was a very deppressive person. I thought that this book was pretty thrilling. It's the first Kurt Cobain book I have read, it makes me scared to read more about the wonderous mysteries of Kurt Cobain and his life. The author of the book seems to take his previous biography of Kurt Cobain and seemed to shorten it up a bit (well at least what I assume.) I would like to read more questionable things about Kurt Cobain and his strange collection of oddities, his style of painting, and writing on walls. I thought the pictures and materials that were inside the book gave the book more value as if you were part of Kurt Cobain's life and seeing the success of Nirvana and his own life. The book may have some mature language and some sexual content that describes Cobain's artwork and the way he speaks. I liked the book, I think it's a good glimpse to see what kind of person Kurt Cobain was and how he lived his life. What stood out to me the most was how much Cobain wanted to be there for his daughter and how he wanted to change his whole life around to make the world a better place for her. He is into Heroine and he said at an interview, "Holding my baby is the best drug in the world." I thought that was very heartwarming to hear from a father who's a drug addict and believes that the best drug is holding his daughter. It makes you think that all people who have once been in a family and then has lived through it all being torn up. Kurt Cobain wanted to be a better parent than what he grew up with. He was willing to give his life to have his daughter live a good life. I would reccomend this book to anyone who is interested in strange people or like music biographies. I think this book will give you a glimpse of what being a famous rock star who has many unique talents lives like. This book gives a whole different meaning to Nirvana and the main person, Kurt Cobain.
