This was more of 2.5 star read for me. I found Kiara a little annoying being so good at everything and while naming the Buri makes sense before you know them, continuing to use those names even after you join the tribe and can understand the language without bothering to find out their actual names struck me as incredibly arrogant. I didn't like Thor's lack of communication and explanantion to Kiara, even after they bonded. And alien superpowers are fine but all powerful lifeforms like the Limnatti are a bit ridiculous. I mean it can do anything anywhere in the universe - I prefer some rules or boundaries around super powers - it makes for more interesting reading. I didn't expect to enjoy this book so much but it was really quite a good story - the storyline was different to the usual sci-fi romance that I have read so far which was a nice break from the norm. And it was quite a nice and 'light' read as opposed to some I have read recently which are quite dark stories. There was some action, mystery, adventure and fantasy set on a new alien world and mixed up with a love story/romance running through the majority of the book.A nice little read and one that would convince me to read other books by this author in future. The main characters' story is concluded in this book, so I am guessing whilst they may be mentioned as an aside in future books in the series, the next one will be about a new set of main characters.
Do You like book Close Encounters (2009)?
Agree with Bettybrown, this is lightweight tosh, but fun.
