Amo i gatti alla follia ma Cleo non mi ha stregato. O meglio, l'autoritaria gattina nera ha sicuramente fatto breccia nel mio cuore, ma la storia della sua famiglia non molto: scioccata dalla tragedia iniziale, mi aspettavo più pathos e coinvolgimento, ed invece il libro mi ha più volte annoiata e ho dovuto forzarmi nel proseguire la lettura. Un peccato, i presupposti per una storia memorabile c'erano tutti, ma l'esecuzione non mi ha colpito, così come la maggior parte delle vicende della famiglia di Cleo. E in realtà alla fin fine la storia non è molto incentrata sulla micia come invece facevano intendere titolo e copertina. Però sono stata felice di sapere che Cleo ha vissuto più di vent'anni: ora la mia Mirta deve batterla!:) This book was very heartwarming and as a cat lover myself, became attached to this little Cleo. Such an awful story but shows so much courage throughout the story.As for the book itself, at times I put it down and didnt pick it back up for a few days. As much as it was a beautifully written book, it wasn't one of those I 'had' to read as much of as possible, and raced to finish as I have with other books. Yet I enjoyed every page :-)
