Circle of Desire is third book in the Damask Circle series and I have yet to read the first two. Gwen and Kat Tanner are psychic raven shape shifting witches that hunt monsters. They are on the trail of a mara, a soul sucker that has been kidnapping children, when they meet Ethan, werewolf detective who's neice is missing. A powerful emotional bond grows between Kat and Ethan but all he wants is sex because the moon is almost full.A very entertainning erotic horror novel with every other chapter filled with sex. I would have enjoyed the novel if the sex was toned down a bit. I do like the characters especially Gwen. Highly recommended for those that like the Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood novels.Overall, I give Circle of Desire an A-. Circle of Desire is the third book in the Damask CIrcle series and like the previous books can stand alone. The story starts with Kat investigating the disappearance and death of two children of which was definitely a paranormal event. An agent of the Damask Circle both Kat and her grandmother Gwen were hot on the trail of the killer when an unexpected distraction appeared. Ethan is a cop and a wolf shifter whose niece was one of the children abducted. Hoping against hope that she is still alive he runs smack into Kat while she was pursuing the suspect. Sparks and many other things started flying. Insta lust for both was a definite and the rising full moon was definitely putting a kink into this relationship. Circle of Desire was by far the best in terms of a tightly woven plot, excellent pacing with a more defined mission for our two leads. Its definitely a paranormal romantic suspense novel with a very erotic twist. The characters of Kat and Ethan are well developed enough for story progression both for the romantic and suspense aspect but some readers might find it not defined enough especially regarding the motivation for each of our leads actions.
