Book one - simply irresistible - 4 stars. This was good. I'm dealing with a sick kid and I'm a little sick myself, so this took longer than usual to read. I hate trot being able to read a book straight through, I'm so used to doing it that when I don't, I feel like some of the wind gets taken out of my sails. Anyhow, it was still good.Maddie, hmmm...she's kind of just this sad, weak, mess of girl. Normally, this would bother me, and in some ways it did...but what helped was that she was sick of it too. She was actually trying to change. I loved her sisters, Tara and Chloe and loved that she wanted to have a relationship with them. Basically their mother had all three of them with three different men, and didn't have a lot to do with raising them. She was pretty flighty but had a good heart. When she dies she left her Inn to the three of them. They all meet at the inn and while Tara and Chloe just want to sell it and move on, Maddie wants to restore it and make a go of it. She's lost her job back in LA and is looking for something new. When she meets Jax, things heat up somewhat quickly, even though she's sworn off men. He just happens to be a contractor and helps to restore the inn. He's also the mayor, an ex lawyer, a multi business owner, oh...and the holder of the loan against the inn. So, yeah. Things get jumble up until Tara finally tells her sisters the truth, the truth that Jax promised he wouldn't tell.Book two - the sweetest thing -Book three- kissing Santa Claus - k...that's as far as I'm reading because apparently Chloe gets married.... I got this book (or well two books in one) as a gift from my mom. Who got it signed by the author. I really like Jill Shavis, now having read three of her romances. Christmas in Lucky Harbor is really cute and fun to read. I loved both the characters. Lucky Harbor seems like a wonderful place to live. It's another one of those books where you'd love to know the characters and live there as well. However, if you're looking for a good Christmas story, I'm not sure this is it. They only really mention Christmas a couple of times. But still very enjoyable and well written.
