I ate this book like it was a soft sugar cookie covered in buttercream frosting and sprinkles. Yep, it was just as sugary sweet and bad for me but oh so good! The friends to lovers romance is hetro-girl fantasy perfection with its blend of hot sex and emotional proclamations. Shea's fierce commitment to Christian and their friendship was so delightful to read and the secondary characters of Christian's brothers fun. I admit all the plot drama packed into the final 25% was ludicrous but who cares? It tightens the bonds between two incredibly near-perfect characters in a fluffy HEA romance. If you can look past the horrible editing (verb tense issues, missing and incorrect words) then this sugary confection may be just what hits your romance sweet tooth. Christian and Shea have been friends since they were little. They have always been there for each other, but Christian can't do it anymore. He is in love with Shea, but knows nothing will ever become of it, because Shea is straight. When Christian tells Shea they can't be friends anymore because it's too hard, Shea throws caution to the wind and enters into a romantic relationship with Christian. Christian watches as his dream comes true, but thinks it's too good to be true. How can Shea convince him this is what he really wants? This was a good read. Because it was a series and I hadn't read the other books, I was confused a bit at times. Also some of the POV's were from previous characters in the series. If you have read the whole series, then I think the book works be a better fit.I liked these guys and thought they were a great fit for one another. The story flowed well and had pretty good character development considering I didn't read the 1st 3 books.
