PI Geri and her dog Pepe are on a reality competition called Dancing with the Dogs in this installment of the Barking Detective series. There are some murders on the set, and some funny business with other contestants that Geri and Pepe must solve. These are fun cozy mysteries - Pepe is very funny, and only Geri can hear him talk which leads to some hillarious situations. Will continue reading the series, lots of fun. It is a fantasy which is so well developed that you are drawn into the fun and chase of the villains. Many persons feel it is wrong to give 'human' traits to animals, but in this case, it makes for truly entertaining reading.Geri and Pepe are in Hollywood to film a new reality show pilot...Dancing with the Dogs. Pepe is eager to show his talent and as we quickly learn can bring the house down! There is a problem on the set though...someone has murdered Nigel St. Nigel, one of the judges. The crime solving duo quickly finds there is more than just simple murder involved. Pet Kidnapping, ransom, and more murder will occur and Pepe will have to rush to his desired love's aid!I just love this series. I laugh, I get a feeling of cheering the team onwards. I adore the characters that have been drawn so clearly that you feel you have known them some time in your life. Mainly, I just like suspending reality for a bit and having a good cozy murder outside the normal rules.I look forward to further novels to come.
