3.5*Some of the story line was predictable, but entertaining nonetheless. I get very aggravated with MC’s that like to take matters into their own hands and end up in some drama that could have been avoided. I know it makes for good drama, but it bugs me to no end. I felt a lot of that with Nick. Although I did like him in general. Brandon was not as easy to love, but he grew on me. I didn’t realize until the book ended that there are two books to follow. I definitely want to know what happens next. It was more of a HFN ending for me. I did not like this really much at all. Got too bogged down into the intricacies of how gambling in Vegas/Slot Machines works. HATED Branden with a fire of a thousands suns. He was a major prick and not in the good way. Nicky was more likeable but he had likability issues too. Doubt I'll continue the series ever. I will say that the ending was okay, it was nice to not see a cop run off half cocked to save the day. It wasn't perfect but it was a nice change.
Too many unnecessary details that I ended up skimming the second half of the book.
