When this book series started with the first syllable, a, I was whisked away into Brandon mulls enchanted writing as it made me turn the pages over and over again into the starry night. The grand adventure that awaited Jason and Rachel had begun with them meeting a blind king, thought to be oblivious of the fallen walls around him. The journey had taken them to the far reaches of Lyrian trying to piece together the word that would undo Maldor, the evil wizard that had taken control over the continent and had tried to capture, again and again, Jason and Rachel. Rachel, an adept at the magic that haunted that realm, and Jason, an adventurous fellow who would risk his hide to get back home. They cross paths with many people, some joining their cause, some trying to kill them for it, one person in particular was also trying to dethrone Maldor with all his thought and will power, Galloran. When I opened up the pages of this book, I couldn’t put this book down. The world around me slowed to a little trickle I paid little attention to. It was the first series I had ever read and I was intrigued by how Brandon mull worded his book. The adventure was monstrous, it went from a library hidden in the woods, all the way to the towering walls of the castle of Felrook. There adventure had been set on a single word that would be Maldors demise. As the final battle draws near, a note comes forth to reveal a secret lost in time, the location of a very powerful weakness. Rachel, a girl of wits, has put her life at risk to return to her family in the real world, nut to put the magical power she has grown makes her ambitious personality leap at a plan to finally put Maldor to his end, or hers. Jason, a person with no magical aptitude whatsoever has made up for that with his smarts and courage that has paid of more than one time in this novel. This book has a spell woven into it that wraps u in and doesn’t let you go until you have read every excruciating page. All, every single one of Brandon mulls books have the power to change your vision of the world and it mysteries. The memories I had with this book could not be expressed in words, only the remembrance and imagination. I rate this book a monstrous five stars every day. I would recommend it to anyone If you like "Narnia", "Fablehaven" and the other two Beyonders books you will love "Chasing the Prophecy." It is a wonderful conclusion to the amazing "Beyonders series." Jason, Rachel, Galoran, and the rest of their crew attempt to defeat Maldor by following the prophecy. They have a one in a million chance to get it right, and defeat the Maumet, Copernum, and even Maldor! This epic novel amazed me in so many ways, so I give thanks to the talented, Brandon Mull.
