About book Chasing Forever Down (2000)

Well, not at all what I was expecting. Definitely more suited for younger readers ( at 40 I felt old reading this)!!An interesting premise for a story. I kind of wanted more surfing stuff and wished that Colby had been made more likeable and was more in the story. He's barely in it!!! that said it kept me from a DNF as I yanked to know what happened to him to make him this way!!I am talking in riddles (unless you read the book!!) but I did enjoy it in a weird sorta way.More surfing in the next one please. I love beach books and this one was excellent. It started out mysterious, but as the girls clocked miles and chased a whim—in the form of a hot dude who just appeared in town (I love spontaneity and adventure too!) The mystery turned into drama as the girls wash ashore in a far-flung beach town. They quickly learn some social dynamics among the locals and then bust through them. Haley uncovers truths about her surfer-dude-whim, but also gets honest with herself as she casts off the shackles of expectations and cruises in her own direction. Also, the guys aren't so bad either. Wink. Looking forward to reading the next one at the beach!
