About book Charlie Bone & The Shadow Of Badlock 7 (2000)
Honestly, I had difficulty getting into this book. The scenes with Charlie in the painting and his friends on the outside were incredibly boring, and I really didn't want the entire book to end up that way. Again, Benjamin bothered me. It is NOT Charlie's fault that your dog ran into the painting, all right? Don't just stop talking to him because you're obsessed with your dog. Tancred is my hero, and I am so pleased that he's not SPOILER dead. His dad made me cheer and wince when he attacked Bloor's, and I am quite ready for the next installment. Billy should come back. My Little is reading these and she wanted me to get through the series so I'd be done by the time she gets there. So, I read number 7. I'm going to say that this was my least favorite of the series. I don't get the fact that sometimes the magic is something everyone knows about and sometimes it's not. I don't buy that Charlie's parents would go off and leave him for so long when his dad's just got back. I don't get why Maisie's so reluctant to believe Charlie about anything magical when she's seen it for herself. And I don't get why Ben's such a jerk ALL THE TIME. So, yeah.
