About book Chapter Five And The Axe-Wielding Maniac (2014)
This short M/M short story could be considered self contained as it ends with no cliffhanger, but is in fact the first instalment in a yet to be published serial.As others have said, one might need to pay more than one expects for the whole if every part is as short and priced as this is.Writing is generally professional but the end result is not satisfying: perfectly good paragraphs are followed by slower, less interesting ones. The writing and story, such as it is, are great. What's not great is that this is apparently the first part of a serial and I don't care for that at all. I won't be buying any future episodes. Marie Sexton is such a good writer that I immediately buy anything she publishes but not anymore. Off my autobuy; I'll have to check each book now.However, if you like serials and don't mind when a book can't stand on its own, you'll enjoy this.
