“He told me that when it’s time, God gives you the courage to do what you need to do.” Jakeshrugged. “He was right.”Several seconds of silence passed. Finally when he realized she wasn’t going to ask any morequestions, Jake opened his door. He was coming around the car to help her out when she got out onher own and said baldly, “The difference between you and me is that when it was time, you had thecourage to follow through. I didn’t.” I loved every single book in the LCR series and couldn't wait for Chances Are to hit the shelves. I was somewhat disappointed with this story after reading it, as for me, I didn't get the feel, the connection like I did with Christy's other LCR books which seemed to be more intense, more suspenseful, more dramatic, where the leading characters were absolutely without a doubt compatible for each other. Something was just missing. Yes the story flowed fluintly well and I really did enjoy this book but I just felt that more could have been done to really depict the evilness of the bad character, more sinister, because of who he personified and drawn the main leading characters into a more cat and mouse kind of scenereo, a more harrowing suspensful adventure before meeting their HEA leaving the reader satisfied and with a heavy sigh of contenment for a story well done.
Do You like book Chances Are (2000)?
