Fun twist on Cinderella. I haven't read any of the other stories of the Fables series but this definitely got me hooked. It's hard to picture my most loved fairytale characters acting the way they are depicted here but I had so much fun that it didn't matter in the end. There were times in the story that I didn't know what the Cinderella was talking about - like the war or a specific character or another reference hat has been created earlier in he original series. Although it took a couple of "what" or "who" I eventually got over it and it didn't hinder my understanding of the story or my ability to enjoy it.Can't wait to start the series off from the beginning! Magical items are coming into the mundane world and it's up to Cinderella to find out who's responsible and put a stop to it.There's action, intrigue, twists, romance and a much more interesting and likeable lead character. Everything "Jack of Fables" isn't. Why couldn't they have made an ongoing series about Cinderella instead of just a miniseries? It has closer connections to the main "Fables" series and since Cindy has been in the spy game for more than a century, her past adventures could also be chronicled. There are so few leading ladies in comics, it'd be nice to see more of Cinderella.
It was interesting enough, but not as good as the Fables series from which it was spun off.

Nothing bad, but nothing special about this one. Just okay.
