Somewhere in my review reading I was confused about Cast in Silence and Cast in Chaos, looking for a kiss and a hint of sexual abuse making Cast in chaos terribly long for me. But once I got past the kiss and the hint of abuse that I was sure would be in Cast in Silence, not only did it speed up but it made Cast in Ruin a runaway train.. a cliff hanging runaway train. This book unlike the one before it starts off with a bang and I swear never slows down not even in it's ending. Yesterday (in the middle of Cast in Chaos) I had all but decided that I should wait awhile before going to the next book, thinking maybe I had read the series all too close together.. boy was I wrong.. now I'm dying for Cast in Peril... uuugggh !!! O yeah, the review on THIS book. Good parts: Every single thing most especially the "egg" that noone speaks of nearly enuff making it most likely one of the most important things in Elantra. Secondly a wonderful request from Nightshade that has to end in something terribly great for the paranormal romantic in me. I'm so diggin how there are so many more characters that can say the things that kaylin is thinking without Kaylin getting in trouble .. and I get the idea that things will be changing on how people treat the chosen. Bad things: I wanted to see more about Kaylin and Severns love connection (or at least an admission of the lack of it) I guess I'll have to settle for Nightshade hopefulness. I loved this book not too many bad things to say. Oh what is Kaylin up to now, or as her friend might say what trouble is she into now?7 bodies are found in the streets the fief of Tiamaris, Tera needs help from Kaylin and Severn to discover who they were, who killed them, and why......that is just the tip of where this book will lead, the adventures they end up going on, and the trouble that inevitably follows.Another GREAT book in a wonderful series.
Do You like book Cast In Ruin (Luna) (2013)?
Great way to mix mystery/crime novels with fantasy. Very fast-paced and interesting.
