About book Carrie's Story: An Erotic S/M Novel (2013)
I don't remember where I was recommended this book from, but I do remember reading the plot and thinking it'd be a book filled with graphic sex and no plot. Lucky for me, I was half right. The book is incredibly graphic, but about a quarter of the way through I found myself genuinely immersed in the dynamic between Jonathan and Carrie and what they're "relationship" would lead to. When you're introduced to the slave/master concept in the beginning it all seems very taboo if you've never been exposed to the lifestyle, but halfway through I found that I had actually been desensitized to all the extreme sexual aggression and instead of feeling bad for the characters receiving punishment, I found myself chuckling at times (bad sign?). In the end I wanted to read much more about the characters and didn't want there to be a final page. WOW! WOW! WOW! (No Spoilers Here)(First, I must say that I had NEVER read any type of BDSM or Erotic type Novels until early this year when I decided to read the Fifty Shades Trilogy and see for myself what all the hype was about. I have to say that I was so intrigued and fascinated that I moved on to read the Crossfire Trilogy as well from Sylvia Day ...... And then I read Carrie's Story & Safe Word!)I knew very little of the BDSM scene but I had heard of how Erotic it can be, I just really never had an interest to 'explore' that lifestyle- or so I thought! In many ways I was able to relate to Carrie. She is smart, young, submissive, eager to please, and willing to try anything and everything thus taking her on an adventure that only Ms. Weatherfield can make so fascinating. Ms. Weatherfield takes you on a beautiful and somewhat 'cruel' journey that in many ways not only seems to be so realistic and, in my opinion, has an otherworldly twist that is very similar to the Hunger Games - I mean after all, do human pony farms and sex slave auctions really exist in our world? She introduces you to what seems like an unrealistic and sexual fantasy world writing it so brilliantly that not only can you imagine that world, the characters and the scenes or even find yourself wanting to be there at times but, you find yourself beginning to think you're reading an excerpt of her very own autobiography making you wonder if Ms. Weatherfield is Carrie.Bravo Ms. Weatherfield for writing both Carrie's Story and Safe Word.

A well-written and sexy peek into the real world of bdsm, with a heroine I can actually relate to.

I really enjoyed a more realistic look into a BDSM relationship.
