Marked as the sequel of Dongri to Dubai, this book promises to be revolving around various gangsters like Chota Rajan, Amar & Ashwin Naik, Arun Gawli. After reading its prequel I felt it would be worth reading the second book. But it looks like I was wrong. It seems like this book was written for just forcing information on the readers. Clearly, the first part had more content in it compared to the second one. Although, B2B promised to be revolving around other gangsters, it ended up revolving around Dawood Ibrahim in majority of the parts. Overall, it was a poor read compared to D2D. This novel mainly focuses on the Maharastrian Dons. It deals with the formation of various gangs, their fights to reign supreme, the political scenario, the strategy of the law and above all the decline of the gangs. The prequel, Dongri to Dubai, dealt particularly with Dawood, while this novel covers most of the gangsters who were the 'the sons of the soil'. Reading the prequel somehow numbs you to the violence and gore described in this novel, as you expect betrayal and cruel violence on every page. This novel is a must read for anyone who wishes to gain an insight into the life and times of 'hindu mafia'. S. Hussain Zaidi's style of writing is well paced, straight forward and replete with his field experience as a journalist. Not as exceptional as its prequel but nonetheless, Brilliant!
