About book Buddy And The Bunnies In: Don't Play With Your Food! (2014)
Buddy is a monster and he has his eyes on bunnies for lunch. Well, he's planning on eating them. The clever bunnies, though, have their own plans to foil him. Buddy starts out as a bad monster, but eventually softens up under the bunnies' ministrations. And the moral is the one that I claim (in storytime, anyway) as the most important one I try to get across: We don't eat our friends. On this, Bob Shea and I quite agree. Buddy the monster really wants to be mean, but those darn bunnies keep distracting him. There's lots of humor for parents as well as kids. It would be a good book for:-fun read aloud time!!!-talking about friendship-introducing manners-conflict management (possible Kelso's Choice tie in)Although you can draw lots of great lessons from this book, it's not didactic or message-y. It's just a great read. I loved it!Hilarious.
