It was interesting to a point and then gradually it was ... zzzzz.A girl on the run from her ex-husband, a guy that is literally ... nuts. Not much of an alpha here. Just a guy that's dark & gloomy and supposedly is sexy as hell? I read half of the book and was just waiting and waiting for Sam & Kade to just get it on. Anyway, I had to put it down and read something else. This book was freakin intense. WOW I was always on the edge thinking what her story was and what happened with her but she never said her side of the story. I felt for Kade with what happened to him and understood the reasoning for him being the way he was but i seriously fell in love with the way he fell for Sam/Lainey and how he completely changed his way(sort of) for her. I already got book 2 and will start reading it now. I do love their connection and do love this book.
