I picked up a copy of this book on a whim. The cover looked hot -- cowboys? Yes, please! And it was a free download so I really couldn't lose anything. I read this while on vacation.Megan is newly divorced, burned by her ex-husband leaving her for another skinnier woman just 7 months. Fresh from the pain, she leaves Albuquerque to move to Prescott, AZ to be with her family - mom, dad, sister, and niece. She soon feels that moving in with her parents until she gets her own place may have been a mistake because they are back to their old ways of criticizing her for everything from her job, her weight issues, her failed marriage... Immediately upon her move, she meets Ryan McBride, the sexy cowboy every woman dreams about. He has an immediate attraction toward her and pursues her. Their relationship blossoms until tragedy strikes - her father has a heart attack. Soon, information comes to the surface that makes Ryan look like the bad guy as his uncle owns Megan's parents house and is trying to foreclose on it because they put it up for home-equity and their restaurant is failing. Many more things happen in the story but I don't want this to be a spoiler review. In my opinion, the story has great potential, but there are some flaws in the writing. Megan so easily trusts Ryan and agrees to go camping with him only after knowing him for only a week! Their chemistry is definitely there, but I was left a little underwhelmed. Their first-time, Ryan admits to liking rough sex so I anticipated some ROUGH sex, but there was just some fast and furious pounding. After Megan's dad had his heart attack, and Ryan helped smooth things over with his uncle and the foreclosure, it all seemed like or went too smoothly. It never happens like that in real life....although, I guess that's why we read romance books - to escape the harshness of reality. Aside from a few grammatical/punctuation errors, the book was well written, though a bit "blah" at times with the extremity of allllllll the details. For a free read, this book was pretty good. I don't know if I'll actually buy the rest of the books in the series. I'm reminded not to judge a book by it's cover. I'm not a fan of cowboys, westerns, country music, etc. However, this was an excellent read! The main characters were very real and easy to relate to. Cheyenne is very informative on the subjects she writes about, I even learned a few things! If you're looking for an uplifting, fall in love, utterly romantic novel....this is it! I won't give away any spoilers, takes the fun out! So grab a mug of your favorite drink, a fuzzy blanket, and enjoy this one! :)
Do You like book Branded For You (2012)?
Ok quick read, just boring and predictable. Glad it was a freebie!

Cute story, but not much more than a fairytale for women.
