At first glance I didnt read the book but one night it came to mind and I was HOOKED I loved the way Maddy was strong despite all the challenges that came her way and (spoiler alert)the way she beat up and tied Larry (best fight scene ever). Yet Jackson had his own demons to deal with but the fact that he kept on denying his love for her annoyed me. I wanted to smack him upside the side everytime he said 'She's not my type". I was rooting for Maddy and Dom later in the book because he is sooo sweet although he has his own past also but Jackson doesnot deserve her. Overall this was a great book. Great characters.I really liked both Maddy and Jackson.I 'm so looking forward to reading 'Lowlife' for the rest of their story.Maddy went through so much abuse silently.Her constant self-talk to keep calm andcarry on was a heavy thing.In spite of this abuse aspect to this story there was also the nightmares tormenting Jackson.What made this story good to me was not only that both Maddy & Jackson are so likeable but also the southern humor.I laughed often with some of the descriptions.If you haven't read this do.great book.
Really enjoyed reading this. Different to what I normally read. Can't wait for the next book.
