About book Blueeyedboy [Blue Eyed Boy] - 1st Edition/1st Printing (2010)

Firstly this was a great read, the kind of book you can't wait to get back to. I'm a Joanne Harris fan & can live with the unreality inherent in her use of magic in several books. This one uses a condition, synaesthesia as a backdrop but the premise is stretched a bit too far & some other aspects of the book don't feel credible. A pity because some of the book is so good. It could have been a far better book if she didn't try so hard to incorporate the synaesthesia into the plot. 1. This is my first read of Joanne Harris, and did not realise she was the author of the the original 'chocolat'; therefore did not have any preset expectation & presumption.2. I've always enjoyed reading books such as Killing Me Softly, Lolita, The Perfume, and The Silence of the Lambs series, but it sometimes feels wrong to like them too much. This book I do really really like. It is full of twists and turns but not in a forceful way. It is more of slowly revealing a reality beneath the fiction and true identity of the characters under their facade and conclusions people could so easily drew upon, than building up suspense just to surprise you.I'll definitely read more of her books.

Do You like book Blueeyedboy [Blue Eyed Boy] - 1st Edition/1st Printing (2010)?

I definetely dont know what to think about the book...I dont think i like it because it was complicated... Towards the end I started to see things clear.... or did i? Because the book is basically an internet blog was written by Blueeyedboy & Albertine. Like the writer herself said in the interviews: noone knows who tells the truth on internet. I'm confused actually and i feel like im missing something because i read so fast with full brain after work... IDK!! If you wanna enlighten me, please feel free...I guess everything was in Blueeyedboy's head. All of those were just an imagination...

I bought this one because of the very interesting blurb at the back of the book. At first I found the book confusing because it was written in a blog entries. I kept flipping back the pages just to track back to the storyline cause despite of it, I was hooked! I like how the story unravel and the twist at the end. The only thing is, if one is not patient enough, they will just give up this book even though the writer has a good reputation and the story is quite original. So even with it's eccentricity, I still recommend it, especially if you enjoy good thriller.

What a finale!!! A book full of turns that let you guess even after finishing the last line.

Love it. It wasn't the same format as other books which made it interesting. Recommend it.
