How would you feel to wake up buried in a coffen? That is exactly what happened to Vickie. She moves far away from her town and family to try to deal with the thought that she is a Vampire? How did that happen? What does she do now? Who can she trust? She is on her own.She starts a new life, and does everything in her power not to kill people just to feed. She has to user her new powers (compulsion-making people believe things happen) on everyone. Vicky meets Drake and she falls in love with him. He is hurt, and it must be instinct, but she saves him. Even thought the vampire who bit her is after her, and wants her back, Vickie is strong willed and is trying to make it the best she can in this new world. Will her maker catch up with her? What will happen with Drake and Vickie? This book is filled with action, romance and friendship. (2.5 Stars)When I first read the summary for this book, I was really looking forward to reading it. Truth be told, it was a middle of the road read. The plot and storyline was not unique and at times I felt as though I was watching a B rated movie.Seventeen year old Vicky wakes up in a coffin. Suddenly, a vampire appears and tries to get her to go with him. She kills him and he turn to dust. After her thirst gets out of control she kills an elderly couple for their blood. She is so disgusted with her behavior, she tries to kill herself by lying in the sun. However, she survives. On the run, Vicky meets a boy named Drake who miraculously accepts her and her vampire tale without blinking. Really? Then starts the sappy romance. Yes, there was some action and antagonists, the writing was pretty good but the overall plot was weak and not very exciting. Read r for yourself and decide. It just wasn't for me.
