Dan Bigley is a fun-loving guy, living in Alaska, who loves the outdoors. More than anything, he loves to fish. This book is not about the big one that got away. It is about the big one that got in his face-literally-the big grizzly mama!Dan didn't do anything wrong, or even have a bad karma day. Actually, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. As he explains it in the book, "life is 10 percent what happens to you, and 90 percent how you deal with it." This was a fascinating story. Having never been to Alaska, I loved hearing about all the beauty of Alaska. The story of the actual bear attack is quite small, but Dan's recovery and decision to live is what truly makes the story great. I'm amazed at his ability to recognize that life will be hard, but that it will still be worth it. He is truly an amazing person to be able to deal with hard things in life and then overcome it to be a very successful person. Very enjoyable book.
