This was OK-- again, very simplistic and the amount of plot information that is attempted / crammed into a two page section of a chapter is ridiculous. It makes it so that things are solved WAY too simplistically, as well as reduces the actual character development. Bree is supposedly a smart K9 rescue search professional, but she purposely puts herself in these situations that someone like her would know better to get in. Her waffling over men is ridiculous. The side characters which are purposely not built up as much are actually much stronger characters-- perhaps because the author doesn't have to dig deep to make them much of a character. I read this because I'd got the first in the series and bought this at the same time, but I'm pretty sure I won't continue on to the third (even though this book very clearly ends leaving it all ready for that book-- yet, predictably so). It's obvious to whom that baby is going to go! This is the second book of the Rock Harbor Series. I loved that I was really able to visualize the story as I read it. The characters and setting are so vividly described that I almost feel like I watched a movie. This book still contains the same great mysteries but now also incorporates romance. It's interesting to see how Bree moves on with her life after the plane crash and begins seeing another man.
loved it! I am going out to buy Book 3 today because I must know what happens to Bree and Kade! :)

A little better than the first one, but the mystery is still better than the romance IMHO.

Not sure why I didn't care for this when it got such good ratings, so you might like it.
