This is one of those books that sucks you in and spits you out with your outlook changed. When I first got and read this book, I struggled to get through it as I'd never really read anything that was so heavily BDSM and it just seemed like I'd never reach the end of the story. Now, two additional readings later, I relish the journey that Jim and Marcus embark on together and with each new milestone reached, I can't help but marvel all over again how much Jim has grown and changed. This book really put Sean Michael on the map for me as an author and I've enjoyed every one of his books since. If you're on the fence about this one all I can say is to take a chance; I did and regardless of how difficult it was for me to read through at first, I've never regretted it. Great book. I had seen this book, but was never certain it would be for me from the reviews I had looked at. So glad that something changed my mind, as this turned out to be exactly what I was looking for.I had never read this author before, but I will be reading more. I enjoyed how the characters connected to fulfill each others needs, and the secondary characters have me wanting to read more about this world.The writing style sometimes was a little confusing, but not enough to take away any enjoyment I felt while reading. There was an awful lot of sex, but that was what I wanted, so that was in this books favour. I will be reading more of this series, and will also look at some of the other work by this author.
