3.5 stars to be exact. Well written but very predictable story. Kinda reminded me of Beautiful disaster. Bad boy and hot hunk Keegan who doesn't believe in having relationships is instantly attracted to his new neighbor Daisy. Little does he know that Daisy's heart was broken beyond repair when her boyfriend was shot dead in college. All she wants is to bury those memories and move on. Now this story is cute and all and the writing is great but I felt like I read it before..with different characters..Also didn't get the insta love thing that Keegan had going on for Daisy. This book was really good and I read it in one sitting. Daisy had a really good life - she had two parents that were still married and loved one another, her boyfriend and her bestfriend were twins that she had known she was born, and things were pretty good. Things change pretty quickly - in the blink of an eye Daisy lost her plans and her love. Survivors guilt and having to face the idea that she would never see the person she loved had Daisy in hiding. Her parents couldn't take it anymore so they send her to Atlanta to stay with her Aunt and their family. Her new neighbor is Keegan Montgomery, the school's major player. Daisy sees with her own eyes what Keegan likes to do most. He's had a tough life, his "father" never wanted him and his mother doesn't have a maternal bone in her body. He's been left to take care of himself and do what he wants for his whole life. Sometimes people come into our lives when you need them most. This is a story of two people that are different but find a way to mean so much to one another.
