Considering that this book has high rating on Goodreads plus that interesting title, I took the plunge. I don't know whether I was expecting too much or...just tired or lazy brought about this long Christmas holiday, that I found myself ...not that hmm, too "eager" ..True, I love crazy , interesting banters, this book has that. I loved it but what I did not get was, the love-hate relationship between Bennett Ryan ( the boss ) and Chloe Mills ( the intern). Okay, one moment they are tearing each other's throats , the next thing , they are tearing each other's clothes?! That's angry sex? I dunno what to call it but it surely works well with these too. Yes, it's kinda sexy at first but when it's goes on like that 80 percent of the book? It gets a little overwhelming because I still want something ... or anything that does not involved ripped undies ( a La Perla?!) or Bennett's insatiable needs or Chloe's "closed door" performance. I'm sure there's something more and I never doubt that both the authors can deliver it. I'll be looking forward for the succeeding books, but I hope I got to read that "something" more .Overall, good , witty banters. Hot sexy encounters...the glass window, the table, the bathroom..plus Mr. Ryan? More than enough to trigger the fire alarm! If you're in the mood for something smutzy and has that "secret" boss-intern forbidden fantasy? Then , I think you might want to check out this book. Right now, this is a D.N.F. I got to 28% and couldn't take any more. The characters are so angry, I am flabbergasted as to how they are boinking like bunnies every time they get near each other. And this after a year of working in the same office with each other, business trips, meetings, and nothing but a professional relationship. I loved the authors' Wild Seasons series so was excited to give this one a try...a little disappointed by what I have read so far but willing to give it a second chance down the road.
