About book Autobiography Of Jack The Ripper: In His Own Words, The Confession Of The World's Most Infamous Killer (2012)

I listened to the audio version of this book. It was interesting in parts, but all fictional to me. If you are trying to convince readers that this Ripper story is real, then you need to give us some violence, some details of the crimes. Something no one else could know, make us feel that we are looking over Ripper's shoulder, watching him stalk the streets of Whitechapel. This didn't do that for me. Far too bland. This book was interesting, and revealed the mind behind a killer. There is still some question in my mind as to whether this is an autobiography or a work of fiction by James Carnac, however either way it is an interesting read. The fascination of James in regards to knifes and death is absorbing as is the story line. Due to the confusion as to whether this is a piece of fiction or not, the appendix analyzing the manuscript was equally enjoyable, which was a surprise as these tend to be deal. Definitely recommend to those interested in the case, or crime in general.
