This book was a little slow in the beginning, but then jumped into the main point of the story right away. A girl, named Kylie, discovers she has the ability to see and talk to ghosts. She gets sent to a camp for people like her, people who are paranormal. She doesn't want to accept the fact that it's happening to her and wants to run from it. Throughout the book she slowly accepts the fact that she can see ghosts, but still doesn't like it. If you like Born at Midnight you will also like the second book in the series, Awake at Dawn because it follows the story line of the first book and explains more of the story. While I enjoyed the story line/plot of the Shadow Falls novels, some aspects of the story line where a bit too easy to see coming. I enjoyed the characters thats CC Hunter developed, I wish in some aspects that more of the secondary characters where expanded upon a little more. Overall a good series, well written, with some unique aspects. I enjoyed and would recommend to others looking for a YA Fantasy book series.
