Okay...I loved this. The dark queen laughed and frolicked reading this, remembering too many things along the way. It is a very emotional story dealing with loss--the kind that aches deep and doesn't leave you but hurts just as much 10 years later when you rub as it did at the time it happened. But it is funny--very funny and filled with optimism. Cassidy is a sweet, train wreck that manages to find his traction again returning to the one place he could be himself. Nate is standup and awesome. Cassidy's cohorts are eye-rolling hysterical and anyone would be lucky to have the crew. Sadie--well...everyone should have at least one Sadie in their lives.Words of wisdom (coming from a person who likes to medicate the "old-fashion" way) and Favorite quote:"I know this feeling too well. I need to maintain a certain level of intoxication if I have any hope of surviving this train wreck of a day.” --Day, Ethan (2010-07-27). At Piper's Point (Kindle Locations 2450-2451) I finished this book at 22:30 am. Why? Because if I didn't finish it in one shot I would have abandoned it. God awful! I understand that Cassidy loved his grandmother and missed her, but this story line took up more than the love story itself. I also did not feel the love between the characters. Nate wants Cassidy and then doesn't, wants him and then doesn't. Out of nowhere he declares everlasting love. Really?! I just didn't feel the connecton. On a positive note, loved the supporting characters. They were tons of fun and definitely made the story.
