I had read this book when it first came out and enjoyed it. So when the SAPL was not filling my wish list fast enough to suit me, I decided to give it another try. it has been long enough ago,that I didn't remember many details, just general ideas. I re-enjoyed it. The focus character is a little too rich and beautiful for me, but the story held up throughout. May read again in another five years if my memory continues to fade! I usually love Susan Isaacs and have been reading her for decades. This book started out with lots of interruptions for description, which threw the narration off a bit. The heroine, a mom of triplets, began figuring out who killed her husband. She was determined to figure it out feeling that the cops had arrested a hooker, not because of evidence but because it was convenient. The mom, Susan, is like a bull dog and she never gives up searching. The problem I had with the book was it stopped so suddenly. The killer was apprehended, he told Susie why he killed the husband and then wham blam thank you ma'am it was finished. All the weaving and deceptions and snooping ended, boom. 'Hey I'm the killer, you can lock me up now.' For such an intricate involved plot to end so abruptly, left the reader saying, 'huh?'

I didn't care for this book. I felt that there was too much detail that just took up space.
