It’s books like this that remind me why I love New Adult so much. It’s hard to explain why it is so much different than Young Adult. Anywhere was an incredibly sweet and easy read. You have two people that know they will have to go back to their own lives, but they get caught up in a moment in time and it turns into an amazing adventure for both of them. Jinsey is an incredible author. I love how she is able to pace the story and really allow the reader the freedom to guess what might happen without giving too much away before it does. I was able to read this book over the course of one day, and I didn’t like having to put it down the few times that I did. You stay so engaged with what is going on that it is hard to stop reading it. Skylar (Skye) and Asher definitely have one of the more beautiful relationships that I have seen in quite awhile. Everything about them just seemed perfect, you could see the chemistry they had and it just felt right. While this book is really sweet, it’s not completely a happily ever after. Skylar and Asher both have their own lives, they have people in their lives that they either want to forget, or that they don’t actually love. Finding each other allows them to really gain perspective over it all, but they still have a lot to deal with if they want their relationship to work. The setting for this book is amazing. I love Europe, so to have this book set in Europe and all the traveling that takes place is a huge plus for me. It was so well done, that at times you feel like you are there. One of my personal favorite scenes was at the Lourve, when Skye and Asher were looking at the Mona Lisa and discussing how lackluster it was. Was just something about that scene that I found really genuine, and funny. The side characters also played a huge role in this book too. Especially Paige. I loved the storyline there with the wedding and the baby, it was just a cute touch and it really played in well to the overall feel of the story since Skye would eventually have to attend the wedding. You also have Skye’s mom who for a lot of the book I really didn’t care for. She seemed really overbearing, and I just didn’t want to like her. Towards the end though, I saw a moment between her and Skye that slightly changed how I felt about her for the better. I also loved a lot of the small elements in this book, just the small touches that kept the reading fun. This mostly came with the text messaging that took place throughout the book with Skye either talking to Justin or Paige most of the time. One of my favorite parts from that was when Skye was in Rome, and would keep teasing Justin about it being in Italy. I am sure that once you read this book, you will never forget that Rome is in Italy. Overall it’s just a really sweet and fun book with it’s share of emotions. If you’re looking for something fairly light, I highly recommend this book. It’s really fast paced, and I can see most people easily being able to sit down and read this book in a day, and hopefully enjoying it as much as I did. I really hope you all will give this book a chance. If you don’t read New Adult, this is another one of those books that is a perfect bridge over between Young Adult and New Adult. This was a sweet, short read! Escaping life and fulfilling a dream Skye is set to travel Europe with her best friend Paige. Things change and suddenly Skye has to travel solo. At a train station and undecided where to go, Skye meets Asher. The two quickly become friends and decide to become travel companions. I enjoyed their travels as I have been to most of these places and their chemistry was sweet and believable. But with Skye having to go home and time running out, I just wanted these two to realize they were perfect for each other. A great read!
