About book Another Man's Treasure (2000)

I wasn't sure after the first few pages that this was going to be worth my time; so glad I stuck with it. Audrey owns a company, Another Man's Treasure, and is hired by Cal Tremaine to clean out his recently deceased aunt's home. Here the mystery becomes enticing. In the chest is the ring that Audrey's mother wore. Her mother disappeared when Audrey was three. How did it get in this chest? There were pills found in the woman's kitchen drawer. What are they doing there? Is her helper involved with these drugs? He has been in trouble before. Cal works for the campaign of a man running for governor. Cal and Audrey soon get chummy and she becomes friends with the campaigner and his wife. Cal has no idea how the ring got into the chest except that his aunt worked as a nanny. Audrey seeks answers; those from her father who is in a nursing home recovering from a stroke. What really happened to her mother...no one wants to talk about it. There There is a detective who suspects Tyshaun may be behind an attempt at Audrey's life. There are many reasons to enjoy this book. I recommend it to those who like mysteries. Loved this book. Audry owns a business called Another Man's Treasure where they go into houses of people who have passed away and clean all the belongings out and get the houses ready to sell. When she runs into some problems in a house she is cleaning out everything around her starts to erupt. She has someone trying to kill her, someone stealing items from her fathers house and everything this pointing to an employee of hers that she refuses to believe. Read this one it will keep you guessing to the very end.
