Angel Eyes was awesome. I loved, loved this book. I love the characters and I loved the setting. I like how not everything is explained and is still building. I love the mystery around Jake and his shield. I read this book in two sittings and cannot wait for the next one. I love the dance and adventure. The town is its own character too. If you like angelic reads this the book for you! I highly recommend it. I give it 3 and a half starsThis book was interesting and full of action. I expected it would be focused on the young romance but it was a lovely surprise that it was much more than just teenage swooning. It did have religious elements in it though just to warn anyone offended by it.I must say that the story stayed in my mind longer than the characters. Looking back on it I can’t really talk about the characters because nothing stood out for me. But the story had a nice flow with the mix of mystery and suspense. I liked how the beginning of the story was an introduction for what happened toward the end when we find out the truth of it all which was unexpected because you kind of don’t get the feeling that the event is of a bigger importance apart from the psychological effect it had on Brielle.The blurb for this book doesn’t really do the book justice because the story itself is very intriguing and it is more than just angels and demons. There is actually a very important issue addressed in it even though it’s wrapped in paranormal cloak. It was a good read.
