About book An Atheist In The FOXhole: A Liberal's Eight-Year Odyssey Inside The Heart Of The Right-Wing Media (2013)

This book was an engaging read and well-written, but it's not the revealing expose that it's advertised to be. I think you should read it if you have ambitions to be in broadcast journalism. For the rest of you, here's the summary: O'Reilly is a surprisingly sympathetic character. Megyn Kelly has a brain, and there's hope that she might decide to use it. Ann Coulter is actually friendly offstage. Hannity and Beck are as douchy as you think they are, and Sarah Palin is stupid and has no problem with her condition. Anyone interested in the media should enjoy this book. Muto effectively captures the behind-the-scenes antics of the most well-known personalities at Fox. I wasn't surprised or shocked by anything that I learned about O'Reilly, Palin, Hannity, Rivera, and the rest of the Foxes. Perhaps the most surprising revelation is that Muto actually liked both O'Reilly and Rivera even though he portrays them as egotistical buffoons. I enjoyed Muto's wit, but he was occasionally a bit too cute.

Do You like book An Atheist In The FOXhole: A Liberal's Eight-Year Odyssey Inside The Heart Of The Right-Wing Media (2013)?

Highly entertaining. I hope Muto writes something else. I'm a fan.
