This book had nothing to do with the Amish. Although I did enjoy listening to the three stories, but the last time I checked the Amish do not wear bright clothes, watch tv, listen to radios or have cell phones. Nor would you ever find a male and female, who are dating, alone holding hands and kissing. There would have been someone with the couple to chaperone. The thing that got me laughing the most was the Tupperware party the girls went to. The only part that was Amish was the horse and buggy. This is a really quick read. The characters are captivating and the story flows throughout without any slow parts. I would have rated it better but I usually rate books by how I feel when I finish the book and I was neither uplifted nor enriched. Plus, it is a little too sultry for my taste but I am super picky about that. I don't like to read any descriptions of how hot the kissing is. The next part gives some plot away so don't read on if you haven't read it. I understand that she wants her fiance to open up to her and for them to feel close but the means by which she wants to do this is lame: hot kissing. I was disappointed by the end because of the strong beginning. I expected the means to be deeper. Maybe just a page describing a meaningful conversation they have about their dreams of future plans to help people and in so doing the author could have provided inspiring commentary on being service-minded. That would have made the book complete. Why would she want to tempt her fiance anyway with sultry feelings? But i guess neive young girls do that often not knowing what boys have to struggle with to keep their minds pure. And last negative critique is if these were stalwart people then why would they lie?
