Sarah Parsons has never visited her grandmother's home but upon the death of her mother's mother she does. As with many good stories strange things begin to happen fairly soon.Sarah "sees" things that have happened in the past, she is encouraged to "find the diamonds" and as always, there are two young men that seem to be after her. A tale of despair, hope, paranormal events, and the fact that money does not solve everything. Very good reading enjoyable to the young adult reader and the older adult that still believes. This book was very well written, and the plot original and intriguing. However, as I closed the book, there were certain things that began to nag me. Sarah should have to face the fact that she betrayed Richard. What was the deal with her and Jackson - was that real or imagined? What was the infatuation between her and Richard - and did he really like her? She was "in love" with Richard the entire book, and then suddenly when Jackson teaches her how to dance, she falls in love with him instead? I really didn't like how their world changed so quickly without Sarah having to deal with any consequences of her actions; it almost seemed as though if she didn't like something about her life, then she could switch it for a better one. The book overall was creative and imaginative, a mix of mystery, intrigue, romance, and thriller, but there were too many things that bothered me for me to give it a four-star rating.
