The progression of their relationship was excellent, but I wish (as usual) that there had been a couple of chapters more at the end. I loved Flynn for not pressuring Mel into anything she wasn't ready for, and being willing to just wait to see what would happen. But Mel's complete turnaround at the end would've worked better for me if I'd had 2 or 3 more chapters seeing her come to terms, basically. Still, this was exactly what I've come to expect from her books and I enjoyed it! I'd read this earlier this year! I can't remember when it was, and I hadn't wanted to record it for some weird reason, but I might as well acknowledge it during my Mayberry speedthrough. The lead lady is recovering from an emotionally abusive marriage, as a warning to potential readers, but it's written with a great deal of respect both from Mayberry's side and on the part of the leading dude, which I liked. (Sidenote - I also really liked this dude. Good job, author.) Decent build-up, some really great scenes, and I liked how well they established their rapport - easy friendship is really nice to read.

it was okay just a long plot mostly containing garden details so it had a tedious hint.
