I devoured this book - if it hadn't been for feeding my husband and kids (so demanding! lol) I would have read it in one sitting!! I fell in love with Dimitri and Veronica from the first chapter. There was an undeniable attraction between these two characters that was palpable - I could feel their emotions coming off the pages. These characters are so well developed that I felt like I could befriend them and they could be a part of my world. I love feeling that kind of connection with a book. There was always something - a secret if you will - simmering beneath the surface of their story. You get hints from the author but you don't get all the puzzle pieces until the very end. I love that because too many times you read a book and there is no anticipation - they are just predictable. Kim always manages to throw curveballs in where you least expect them and the story goes in a completely different direction. I love this author and her words. If you haven't read anything by her, go and start now. Block off plenty of time though, once you start you won't stop. :) Oh how I loved this book. I especially love reading about young love. So I truly loved this budding romance. I was left devastated when life got in the way and things went a little off course. I felt so much emotion reading this book. I was always second guessing what the connection was between Veronica and Dimitri and was pleasantly pleased with myself when I kind of guessed it, as I share the same belief!! Love spans all!!So yes! 5++ fantastic Stars.
Well I liked Bright Side much better! This book dragged on and on! But I did finish it!
